So it's been too long since my last post. Here's a couple shots 'till I have some time this weekend to post more.

Here is a shop on the side of the street on the way home from the office in Port Harcourt

My first infared shot. I've got a new camera for these now, but they come out a lot more purple-ish. When I get white balance figured out I'll post more.

So it's my last day in Port Harcourt. Can't say I'm sad to leave, but it was a great experience. Here's a couple random shots as I wait for our ride to the airport.

Anyone for a game of soccer?

This is the slaughterhouse across the street from our office. They burn tires for fuel (why, I don't know) all day long. Hence all the smoke.

A 'bungalo' across the street from our hotel. I wouldn't mind taking this place and moving it out of the city.1884

And if anyone is curious, it is possible to watch Night Rider in Port Harcourt.

On the flight out to Africa we had a 12 hour layover in Paris. My first trip to the city. Gotta say I was not impressed, but a word to the wise--if you ever go to Charles De Gaulle airport make sure you either have lots of time to stand in line, or carry some change in Euros. Otherwise there's no way you can get a train out of the airport into the city. Once there there's a lot to see.
The hotel in the airport was great though. They helped us out and gave us change so we could actually get on the train
And everyone knows the French have great desserts. This dish was served up at the airport.

So this is my first blog...
Now everyone who wants to can see pics from where I travel. Theoretically.

Word to the wise:
If you have ever read a Dan Brown book, good. Stop after the first one. Any more is a bad idea.

If you have read two, you know what I'm talking about.

If you have read three (like I have) then you know how unoriginal and boring his writing is. Let us all hope he doesn't write any more pointless drivel.
